How to make better decisions

Article Abstract:

Family-owned businesses vary in decision-making styles, but a survey showed that 34% use an entrepreneurial approach and 48% prefer to reach a consensus among family members. All styles have advantages and drawbacks but no one style works best. Suggestions for better decision making are presented.

Reducing the risks of family-business growth

Article Abstract:

Families need to establish goals, and solidify intra-family communication on management issues, especially concerning the occasional strategic need for borrowing money. The growth that results from such planned expansion will then be easier to manage.
