How to use a buy-sell to protect you, family, business

Article Abstract:

Suggestions to properly structure buy-sell agreements are presented. Buy-sell agreements give protection to businesses, business owners and their families. They also give added income to the family of a business owner upon the latter's retirement or disability. Cross-purchase, stock-redemption or a combination of both kinds of buy-sell agreements may be used. Steps to ensure the effectiveness and validity of buy-sell agreements are also presented.
