Human capital, organizational learning, network resources and organizational innovativeness

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to investigate how organizational innovativeness can be achieved through knowledge-based resources, and determine the mechanisms that transform intangible assets into organizational innovativeness. A total of 126 firms in the hardware industry and 43 companies in the software industry in Taiwan were surveyed. Findings support the hypothesis that human capital, organizational learning, and external network resources affect organizational innovativeness.

How to increase exploration with the TQM practice

Article Abstract:

The difference between exploration and exploitation in organizations is discussed. Balancing these two concepts has been difficult for managers since they are considered to be contradictory organizational processes. Total quality management (TQM) requires managers to overcome this contradiction. Results of a study show the substantial difference between the two processes.

The source of innovation: boundary spanner

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the factors that determine which organizations become boundary spanners, and to investigate the performance implications of boundary spanners. Findings show that companies need to have an appropriate mixture of boundary spanners and non-boundary spanners, since the former have higher innovative performance.
