Issues concerning house prices in Australia are discussed, with emphasis on analysts's views that there will be a slow but definite upturn after the price increases of 2000. A slow price rise in the housing industry is predicted towards to end of the year 2001.

Japanese investors in Australian properties are selling them in 1999. The crash in international properties and the Japanese economy are causing Japanese companies to take a loss on the properties that they are selling in Australia.
