Innovation and technology transfer: European and Indian perspectives

Article Abstract:

Proceedings of the conference on European and Indian perspectives regarding innovation and technology transfer held at the Administrative Staff College of India in Hyderabad, India, in Apr 1992 are presented. The conference was conducted in cooperation with the R&D Research Unit of the Manchester Busines School and under the guidance of the Euro-India Cooperation and Exchange Program implemented by the European Foundation for Management Development. Interaction between executives and academics to replicate effective models of technology development and transfer was a major objective of the conference.

Lessons in product innovation: a case study of biotechnology firms

Article Abstract:

An examination of four agricultural biotechnology firms showed that failure to create value is due to a lack of a clear product-market focus, complementary skills outside of its core technology and links with universities and government. These factors appeared to have resulted from differences in financing arrangements and level of organizational politics.
