Diversity crises: How firms manage discrimination lawsuits
Article Abstract:
A model of discrimination lawsuit resolution is developed to identify type of discrimination, firms' verbal and behavioral responses and stakeholder mobilization. The firms' responses are critically influenced by external stakeholders with and without formal authority.

Organizations identified with core-stigma or a spoiled image due to negative social evaluations are discussed. The nature and expression of core-stigma by external audience evaluations and the resultant organizational outcomes are analyzed.
