Competing in the new economy: the effect of intellectual capital on corporate entrepreneurship in high-technology new ventures

Article Abstract:

It is posited that intellectual capital assets provide a unique advantage that fosters entrepreneurship by decreasing risk and improving returns from venturing and innovation investments. Data are drawn from 237 American high-technology new ventures that launched initial public offerings from 1994 to 1998.

Intellectual capital and corporate value in an emerging economy: empirical study of Taiwanese manufacturers

Article Abstract:

Relationship capital, innovation capital, organizational capital, and human capital are identified as the four components of intellectual capital. Research on manufacturing firms in Taiwan shows a positive correlation between intellectual capital and company value; eight value creation paths are described.

Value creation potential of intellectual capital in biotechnology u empirical evidence from Finland

Article Abstract:

Finnish biotechnology firms are used to illustrate the empirical co-variation and interactions between three intellectual capital components: relational capital, human capital, and structural capital. Their impact on anticipated future sales and value creation potential is discussed.
