Article Abstract:

Internet and other technology stocks have continued to fall in 2001 and the industry has lost value as a result. Many Internet companies have started to charge fees for a variety of economic factors, and merge activity is expected to continue in 2001. These stocks, with a few exceptions, are under price pressure for 2001, and this will continue for the near future.

Article Abstract:

Many of the stocks in the internet industry have begun to recover in 2001, although they are not at the same price levels during the year 2000. Several internet companies have begun charging fees in response to costs and the need to focus on the bottom line. Many of these stocks are poised for a turnaround in 2001 and 2002 although the industry remains volatile.

Stocks in the internet industry have not done well in the 4th qtr of the year 2000, and several companies have filed for bankruptcy. Mergers have increased in the industry and this is expected to continue in the year 2001. These stocks are not timely for investors.
