Iowa's straw poll feeds cash cows

The Iowa straw poll for year 2000 Republican presidential candidates elected George W. Bush the winner with 7418 votes, followed by Malcolm S. Forbes and Elizabeth H. Dole. The Iowa straw poll does not count officially, but it provides an insight into the American political process. Registered voters in Iowa could cast votes by paying $25.
