Saline solution

Article Abstract:

Australian irrigation districts on river plains face the worldwide problem of waterlogging and salt contamination. An engineering solution suggested by John Blackwell would reverse the rise of salt in the water table and supply more water for irrigation. The process uses land as a series of filters and produces salt water suitable for fish farming.
