Looking smart with half a billion

Article Abstract:

Evan Thornley and Tracey Ellery, founders of Looksmart, have had an amazing debut into the Rich 200 of 2000 with a combined wealth of almost 585 million Australian dollars, which could have been more if technology shares had not fallen in April 2000. The company was only set up in 1995 in Melbourne and was moved to the US in 1997 to enable it to compete with other internet search engines.
