Lotus accepts sweetened IBM offer

Article Abstract:

Lotus Development Corp agreed on Jun 11, 1995, to a $ 3.5 billion takeover by IBM that will pay $64 per share for Lotus's outstanding stock. The deal represents a $4 per increase from IBM's original offer on Jun 5, 1995. The acquisition of Lotus makes IBM a leader in the groupware market.

France accepts EC-U.S. oilseed pact

France agreed to accept a Nov 1992 agreement between the US and the EC to reduce EC agricultural subsidies to the oilseed industry. This action was expected to facilitate agricultural negotiations under GATT.

PWA accepts Air Canada merger offer
