Magnet maker draws its own benefits from PDS payroll

Article Abstract:

The magnet manufacturer Magnequench International implemented the PDS Human Resource Manager in 1996 to improve its management of HR information and make record-keeping an internal function. The package was chosen for its Windows compatibility, capacity to integrate other HR modules, flexibility, return on investment and affordable price. With the assistance of PDS staff, the integrated client/server HR system was installed in a matter of just 75 days, thereby expediting the company's independence from the mainframe system of General Motors, which used to handle HR information for Magnequench. The company was also immediately able to supervise its own check disbursement and employee benefits enrollment. With the help of the PDS system, the HR department now enjoys time savings and has reduced its staff considerably. Moreover, the finance department now has a clear overview of the corporate cashflow.

Personal Analyst software - data that transcend the what and give you the why

Article Abstract:

The chief financial officer for medical equipment maker Satellite Dialysis used the Personal Analyst software from InAlysys Inc to improve the way his company monitors the financial performance of the operations of its several locations. Before the implementation of this program, business analysis was typically incomplete owing to the multiple general ledger systems used and different product lines managed by the various locations. Managers of each operating unit had to make do with raw financial information that did not have deep analysis. With the application of Personal Analyst, however, the company is now able to detect deviations in costs in the different units. Therefore, problem areas in each geographical region, organization entity, product line, service category and denominator can be identified readily.
