Management education in Eastern Europe: 'fore and after

Article Abstract:

Eastern Europeans want Western consultants and managers to help them restructure their economies, but this is hampered by Americans' lack of awareness of Eastern Europe's cultural and societal values. American managers must become aware that their ways of doing business and thinking must be adapted before they can be used in Eastern Europe. A first move towards a common understanding is to learn how Eastern European managers have been educated. The management education system in Eastern Europe, and American managers' role in Eastern Europe are discussed.
