Managing from the boundary : The effective leadership of self-managing work teams

Article Abstract:

The role of an external leader is to delegate certain responsibilities to subordinates from the self managing team and then monitor them whether they are peroformed in the right manner or not. In self management teams the interaction between the team members is much higher and they can also perform better which provides customer and self satisfaction. Managers prefer to work with the external leaders who have an access to people and places and who understand their dleaderneeds and concerns also.

Happy together? How using nonstandard workers affects exit, voice and loyalty amongst standard employees

Article Abstract:

Many organizations employ a combination of standard and non standard Employees wherein the standard ones are the ones who have a permanent job whilst the non standard ones are those who are employed on contractual or temporary basis. In this process of blending the two workforces, often the standard employees are given the task of training and supervising the non standard employees, even if the standard employees do not possess the capabilities to do so.
