Maritime industry

Article Abstract:

Statistics of some of the companies in the Maritime industry and their securities rankings as of December 9, 2005 are furnished. The industry is faring well at the moment because of high demand and tight capacity. However, the high-fixed cost structure is preventing expansion in the industry. Consequently, the large demand may not always translate into profits at a future date and the stocks are bound to reflect the volatile situation.
