Article Abstract:

Healthcare insurance brokers should be considered more as service advisors and not as marketers. Ineffective brokers should be made more accountable for the services they render and should provide additional viable design alternatives. Brokers should be selected according to their willingness to provide such services as monitoring costs, introducing innovative products, providing technical expertise and leveraging businesses to the client's advantage.

All for one, one for all

Article Abstract:

Small business organizations encounter problems when they apply for employee health insurance plans. Insurance coverage for these groups is limited and costly. To have a more balanced and competitive coverage, small businesses can join other organizations and form health insurance purchasing coalitions. Coalitions can bargain with health insurance companies for more negotiable rates and minimize employee premiums.
