Demand for metal parts in the US remains uncertain even though interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve Board are expected to help the economy improve. Capital spending and cost-cutting targets are being focused upon so the industry can improve its position in the future. These stocks are expected to perform with the market in the year 2002.

The metal fabricating industry is expected to feel the effects of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, along with the rest of the US economy and weaker demand. Cutbacks and cost reduction are the major industry priorities in the year 2001. These stocks are not timely for the years 2001 and 2002.
