The dark side of the boom

Article Abstract:

Investors in the Australian stock market have seen some spectacular gains as corporate profits increased within a low-interest rate environment, but they may not be prepared for a market downturn. The investments, many of which are being made by those unfamiliar with a bear market, have tended to be into stocks that are highly influenced by interest rates. Should interest rates increase, many stocks could fall substantially.
