Money is power (or is it?)

Article Abstract:

The tug-of-war between the Federal government and the state governments regarding taxation on businesses is discussed. The state governments view Federal government's attempts regarding business duties as a part of a ploy by the central government to gain control not withstanding the GST bonus being given to the states. The Federal government is also at loggerheads with state governments' on lapses in handling infrastructure and industrial relations. The businesses generating the revenue however, have no say in the matter.
