NAB chief travels the Ford road

Article Abstract:

The National Australia Bank (NAB) is being divided into four international operations similar to the structure Ford Motor Co. deployed. The NAB will be comprised of an information office, global products, wholesale financial services and retail products, including personal and corporate services. The restructure is expected to give NAB an advantage in the international market.

Leading Australian firms are calling on the government to give financial backing to the IT&T Skills Taskforce, which is designed to improve the information technology capabilities of employees. The lack of information technology skills is making it hard for these firms to compete effectively with companies in other countries.
