Article Abstract:

Statistics of some of the companies in the Newspaper industry and their securities rankings as of February 18, 2005 are furnished. The industry has been crumbling under the onslaught of other media forms like the Internet. The trend is not likely to reverse though the stocks will show marginal gains because of overall improvement in the economic conditions.
