O&Y negotiates loans for Canary Wharf

Olympia and York Developments Ltd is attempting to arrange for C$309 million from lenders in Toronto, Ontario, to prevent bankruptcy of its Canary Wharf project in London, England. The company announced in Mar 1992 that it could not meet debt payments.

Olympia offers 20% stake to banks
