Article Abstract:

Investments in the oilfield services and equipment industry rate very high in timeliness, as worldwide demand for energy soars and drilling technology improves. The limited supply of drilling rigs, especially for offshore use, provides good prospects for companies such as Baker Hughes Inc. Contract drillers should also prosper as offshore exploration picks up in locations including West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico.
