On-line copyright protections proposed

Article Abstract:

A special presidential task force recommended on Sep 5, 1995, that existing copyright laws be revised to include information transmitted over the Internet and other on-line computer networks. Some academics criticized the recommendation saying it was giving in to commercial interests.

New stock-option rules proposed

Article Abstract:

The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Apr 7, 1993, decided to develop changes in the way that corporations account for employee stock options. FASB wants corporations to deduct the value of the stock options from their earnings.
