The company was started in 1867 and is run by joint managing directors Ward McKenzie, Steve Ward and Helen Ward, who are the direct descendants of the founders. Succession planning is a problem that this company has faced in the past, like many other private companies.

Brothers fuel merger

JFTA Petrochemical Services and Austech Petroleum Services are two Australian family businesses, which have recently merged to form JFTA. The sons of the founders of JFTA and Austech ran these companies. The new firm will provide construction and engineering services to petrochemical industries. The merger will help the companies establish a national presence and provide wider access to new businesses.
