The effect of ethical frameworks on perceptions of organizational justice

Article Abstract:

Research on both ethics and organizational justice between process and outcome concerns. However, little research integrates these two areas. This study examined the influence of individuals' ethical frameworks on perceptions of organizational justice. We found that ethical formalists were more sensitive to procedural justice issues and ethical utilitarians were more sensitive to distributive justice issues. The implications of these results for both organizational justice and ethics are discussed. (Reprinted by permission of the publisher.)
