Parting company

Article Abstract:

The multidisciplinary partnerships of Big Five accounting and legal firms in Australia are facing difficult times, and many lawyers are returning to specialized law firms. Andersen Legal, an accountancy-law firm, has had problems retaining key staff, especially Michael Rose, one of Australia's top legal billers, who initially triumphed the virtues of a multidisciplinary firm but now questions its place in the market. Law firms are also concerned about maintaining their autonomy within Big Five firms.
