Report criticizes travel office firings

Article Abstract:

The Justice Dept's Office of Professional Responsibility issued a report on Jan 31, 1996, that criticized the Clinton administration's firing of seven White House travel office staff members. However, the report did not find evidence of conflict-of-interest or undue pressure on the FBI.

Ministry report criticizes trade partners

Article Abstract:

The Japanese Ministry of International Trade and Industry charged 10 trade partners, including the US, with violation of regulations pertaining to international fair trade. This action indicated that Japan was planning to become more aggressive in dealing with trade barriers.

Report criticizes United Way ex-leader

Article Abstract:

United Way of America released a report Apr 3, 1992, that stated that the organization's former president, William Aramony, had used United Way funds to pay for a high lifestyle and to make improper payments to aides. Aramony was forced to resign in Feb 1992.
