Risk, ambiguity, and decision choice: some additional evidence

Article Abstract:

A study examined the effect of attitude towards risk and tolerance for ambiguity in decision making. The study used experimental settings and designs over 39 MBA students who acted as consultants. The findings revealed higher confidence level of decision makers who are less risk averse and have higher tolerance for ambiguity. The existence of ambiguity in managerial decision situations, when regarded as risk, will result to more conservative decisions and lessen confidence.
