Strategic Alliance Outcomes: a Transaction-Cost Economics Perspective

Article Abstract:

The United States health care industry is used to illustrate factors fostering or inhibiting opportunistic behavior in strategic alliances. Contractual safeguards, trustworthiness, and alliance performance were negatively related to opportunistic behavior, while mutual equity investments were unrelated to opportunistic behavior.

Mentoring Functions: A Contemporary View of the Perceptions of Mentees and Mentors

Article Abstract:

An instrument for evaluating the mentor relationship in organizations was developed using a survey of 228 mentors and their 272 subjects. Findings showed that both groups shared similar perspectives regarding mentoring functions occurring in organizational relationships.

Trust Formation in Collaborative New Product Development

Article Abstract:

Research on 44 partnerships for product development shows that communication behavior and perceived fairness are positively correlated with trust. A partner's perceived egoism and conflicts during development are negatively correlated.
