Article Abstract:

A study on the complex task of formulating a business strategy is discussed. In this regard, four types of industry environments: Fast Growth; Wild, Wild West; Steady Evolution; and Creative Destruction are considered. Four types of business strategies, Concept Drivers, Pioneers, Consolidators, and Concept Learners that can operate effectively in each type of business, and their strengths and challenges are also discussed.
