Technology transfer as technological learning: a source of competitive advantage for firms with limited R&D resources

Article Abstract:

Successful organizations are those that can build up on expertise through internal technological learning after transferring technologies from external technology sources. The reasons for, and the methods by which organizations in third world countries, with limited R&D resources, can obtain sustainable competitive advantage through technology transfer are discussed.

Corporate technology portfolios and R&D performance measures: a study of technology intensive firms

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that a technology portfolio with a higher average citation made/self-citation ratio can produce a positive impact on a firm's value. However, technology concentration strategy may not function well as high-quality patents become more difficult to obtain. Implications for further research are discussed.
