Statistics of some of the companies in the Telecommunications equipment industry and their securities rankings as of December 31, 2004 are furnished. The positive growth in GDP is likely to translate into an increase in capital expenditures in the sector. Consequently, the sector is expected to report improved performance in the coming year but the prices of the stocks will remain volatile in view of the nature of the industry.
