Telecommunications equipment industry

Article Abstract:

Stocks in the telecommunications equipment industry had an excellent year in 1999 due to the buildup in the Internet infrastructure, demand for equipment in the telecommunications industry, and the rebounding Asian economy. This growth is expected to continue in the year 2000 with computer networking, service convergence, telecommunications industry consolidation, and deregulation. Investors will find many good opportunities in this industry, although caution needs to be exercised.

Telecommunications equipment industry

Article Abstract:

Advancing earnings and share prices have made the telecommunications equipment industry timely for the year 2000. However, high share prices have made this industry risky for investors and price/earnings ratios have reached high levels. Investors need to consider these stocks on an individual basis and need to have a high tolerance for risk in this industry.
