Defence Inc

Article Abstract:

The Australian Defence Force (ADF) and its Major-General Peter Dunn are attempting to bring corporate values and lessons to the national defense organization in order to make it more efficient. ADF has identified $1 billion in administrative cost cuts and has completed half of its 3800 job-cuts program. Many officers, in opposition to the changes, are voicing criticism or retiring. Lieutenant-colonels are quitting at the rate of more than 20% a year.
