The Bad News Bull

Article Abstract:

Edward Hyman is an economist who tracks a wide variety of economic indicators. He was surprised to see the economy continuing to grow so strongly in February. He believes people are worried about inflation coming back more than anything else. He thinks the Federal Reserve Board (Fed) has continued to tighten credit to control economic growth. However, he believes the Fed will not tighten further. He believes consumer confidence is falling, which will slow the recovery somewhat. He is fairly happy with the inflation picture in that he does not see it returning for some time.
