The Swedish secret

Article Abstract:

The keys to Assa Abloy's success are acquisition, cultural understanding, and globalization. With the help of chief executive Carl-Henric Svanberg's 20 acquisitions since 1994, the lock company now has 6% of the $30 billion global market in locks. To understand diverse international markets, the company organized a team composed of one manager for each of its 14 major markets. Assa Abloy's business is 90% export, and Svanberg believes this globalization is the key to success.
