The U.S. long-term outlook

Article Abstract:

The American economy is expected to remain healthy up to the year 2025. A forecast made by Perryman Group reveals that the American economy is most likely to post a 2.14 percent annual increase in real gross domestic product (RGP) up to the year 2025. The employment rate, meanwhile, is projected to grow annually by 1.33 percent or about 175.2 million by the year 2025. The projected growth in the economy is being attributed to expansions that will be taking place in technology, trade sector and services sector, among others.

The outlook for US business in the short term

Article Abstract:

Mixed economic signals, though causing varying predictions concerning inflation, have not disrupted the US' steady, long-term pattern of economic growth. The country's gross domestic product (GDP) increased an estimated 2.3% in 1996, and the Perryman Group expects annual GDP growth of about 2.5% in the 1996-2001 period. The climate for business investment should remain positive enough to generate continued moderate growth in nondefense capital-goods orders.

The short-term US outlook

Article Abstract:

The Perryman Group gave a positive economic growth prediction for the US over the short-term period between 1997 to 2002. Corporate cost efficiency and increased profits are expected to combine to fortify the financial market. Export growth would be driven by neighboring countries' demand for business, financial, managerial and engineering services. Likewise, the services industry is expected to provide the highest employment opportunities.
