Article Abstract:

The 2007 stock market was supported by rising corporate earnings, good economic data, interest rate cuts and comforting words from the Federal Reserve Board. The outlook for equities in 2008 is still positive as long as the economic issues would further subside. Forecasts and trends in the stock market for 2007-2008 are given.

Article Abstract:

A brief review of the economy and stock markets as of January 21, 2005 is furnished. The stock markets are expected to improve in their performance after the recent profit-taking bout. The economy is on the revival path and the GDP growth in the first quarter is expected to be in the range of 3% to 4%.
