A brief review of the economy and stock markets is provided. The economy seems to be moving ahead but at a slower pace than in the previous year; the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) is affected by increase in the interest rates and oil prices. Despite this the investors have been positive about the economy.

The last quarter of 2003 and the early 2004 have seen favorable trends on the economic and stock market fronts of the United States. Despite the global tensions related to the new terrorist attacks, and oil and gold prices, investors look forward to the positive side of the things.
