A brief review of the economy and stock markets as of April 7, 2006 is furnished. Federal Reserve has hiked interest rate for 15th time in two years. More interest hikes can be expected in coming period. Inflation is, however, moving at modest pace. Volatility in stock markets is foregone conclusion.
