The business network: a powerful and challenging business tool

Article Abstract:

Business networks are essential tools for entrepreneurship and corporate innovation. They facilitate the personal and business development of entrepreneurs. Networks, whether technological or human, have the breadth and depth to act as effective agents of change, for both the businessman and the world. Some of the challenges and forces that impact on the formation and success of networks are described. Strategies for success and some research on the theory and operation of networks are also outlined.

Access Control More Than a Security Tool

Article Abstract:

Access control technology originally applied to security measures for entering a building with an encoded card that was read by a controller. In the last nine years access control has grown to encompass such functions as automatic switching of lights and temperature controls, monitoring fuel supplies, and accessing office machines. The cost of versatile control systems using the MAC530 system marketed by Chubb Australia starts at $15,000.
