The hard road to high tech

Article Abstract:

There are few women entrepreneurs in the high technology field. Women have traditionally been encouraged in other fields; they lack a system of support and the cost of starting a business is often prohibitive. Eventually, the courage and self-confidence that women executive show will succeed.

Managing from a distance

Article Abstract:

Allowing employees to work at home and communicate with the office through a computer and a modem is growing in popularity, especially among small businesses. The percentage of telecomputers in the work force is expected to increase from about 5.3% to 6.6% by 1995.
