The impact of operational failures on hospital nurses and their patients

Article Abstract:

Though operational failures lower the productivity and quality in health care, it also helps the health care organization to learn a lot from these failures. But the lack of control of process that creates failure and the freedom with which the employees restore functioning makes it difficult for organization to recognize these failures as learning opportunities.

Perceptual measures of performance: fact or fiction?

Article Abstract:

The dependability and authenticity of perceptual performance measures are studied. The results on the effectiveness of Multitrait-multimethod analysis of perceptual performance measures are presented, which conclude that the dependability and authenticity perceptual performance approach is satisfactory.

Empirical simulation studies in operations management: context, trends, and research opportunities

The trends in the use of simulation in empirically based operations management research are investigated. 85 published journals on simulation studies are explored to present the empirical findings in different possible combinations such as by journal, by time period, by topic for further use.
