The other mining boom

An industry association of 110 mining technology and service companies, Austmine reveals an increase in the mining technology and service exports to 1.9 billion dollars. According to the Austmine's chairman, Alan Broome, the growth of mining technology exports resulted from mining companies increasing their investment in technology to improve their efficiency, safety and environmental record.
