Poor sportsmanship could cost athletes

Article Abstract:

Displays of poor sportsmanship by victorious Olympic athletes at the 2000 games in Sydney, Australia may negatively impact the athletes' ability to attract endorsement contracts from advertisers. Corporations like to sign winners to endorse products but the athlete's moral behavior is also a factor in how an endorsed brand product is perceived.

New York, NY-based Submedia LLC has developed a new ad campaign for Coca-Cola Co.'s Desani bottled water. The ad, running on a series of illuminated boxes, will grace the tunnel walls of Atlanta, GA's North line subway system. Atlanta is also the headquarters of the Coca-Cola Co.
