Two ultralight laptops boast cool features but need to fix flaws

Article Abstract:

Two laptops by Acer and Fujitsu are reviewed as good, thin, lightweght notebook computers, but each has flaws. The Acer TravelMate 350 is slim and light and has good features like a large screen with good resolution and a decent keyboard, but the wireless and SmartCard features were clumsy and slow. The Fujitsu LifeBook S-4546 is also slim and lightweight, but the keyboard is poor and has serious function flaws.

The PowerBook G4 has 15.2 inch color screen, a 400 MHz processor, 128 MB RAM, a 10 GB hardrive, and a DVD drive. It weighs about 5.3 pounds, and under normal use battery life is 5 hrs. The keyboard could be crisper and the machine lacks a CD-RW option. But overall, the G4 PowerBook is a handsome, well-equipped laptop.
