There is no good cure for the aftereffects of drinking too much, only good information to help drinkers decide if the pain is worth it. Alcohol is the sole cause of the headaches and nausea, but flavor ingredients in different drinks called congeners can accentuate the discomfort. Aspirin only hastens the absorption of alcohol, but it is good for relieving headaches afterward. Drinking water after drinking alcoholic beverages is advisable.
