Vishay Intertechnology, the largest US and European manufacturer of passive electronic components and a major producer of discrete semiconductors &stress sensors, reported lagging trends in its passive components business in the active components sector, during the ending quarter of 2003. Consolidated sales growth of its active electronic components business to make up the backlog of orders of 2003, with improved profit margins are expected to improve the earning recovery of the company in 2004.
